• Fostering Open Dialogue: Christina holds open forums and sends out bi-monthly communications, giving residents direct access to city leadership and timely information on Bellevue’s progress.

• Building Strategic Partnerships: She works closely with business owners, community groups, and regional partners and governments to address challenges and pursue new opportunities together.

• Maintaining Trust: Christina strives to lead a culture of reliability and accountability within city government, consistently making decisions that prioritize the community’s best interests.

Christina is safeguarding Bellevue’s unique culture and small-town charm even as the city grows. Through thoughtful planning and active community engagement, she is cultivating a future that respects our roots and nurtures vibrant public spaces for all residents.

What Christina is doing:

• Protecting Bellevue's Charm: Christina will continue to promote and enact zoning updates that support development in harmony with existing neighborhoods, helping to preserve the city’s distinct identity.

• Fostering a Vibrant Downtown: She desires to lead the charge to develop a true downtown destination—a central, lively area where local shops, restaurants, cultural events, and community life come together, making Bellevue’s heart a gathering place for all.

• Guiding Sustainable Development: Christina is overseeing growth to ensure Bellevue’s economic vitality while protecting Bellevue's quality of life and investing in Bellevue’s green space. She has secured $85,000 in funding for a community project at Memorial Park in FY26. 

3. Strengthening Infrastructure

Reliable, modern infrastructure underpins everything the city does. Christina is proactively upgrading Bellevue’s essential systems with a focus on long-term resilience and sound fiscal management. Her ongoing work ensures our infrastructure meets the needs of today—and tomorrow.

What Christina is doing:

• Modernizing Wastewater/Water Systems: She is actively leading the recommissioning of the wastewater facility and the Seaman’s Creek drinking water project, using strategic management practices to guarantee its efficiency and longevity.

• Securing Long-Term Funding: Christina will implement programmed funding plans for both immediate repairs and future upgrades to water and sewer systems breaking the cycle of emergency fixes.

• Improving Bellevue’s Streets: Christina will implement a comprehensive plan to repair damaged roads, eliminate potholes, and establish a proactive maintenance schedule, ensuring Bellevue’s roads remain reliable and accessible for all residents and visitors.

4. Enhancing Public Safety

Christina believes every resident deserves to feel safe and supported. She is enhancing Bellevue’s public safety services through targeted improvements and sustainable funding, ensuring that first responders have the resources and staffing they need.

What Christina is doing:

• Advocating for Pedestrian Safety: Christina is championing the Local Option Tax (LOT) measure specifically for critical pedestrian safety projects—like upgraded crosswalks, sidewalks, and lighting.

• Stabilizing Safety Services: She is prioritizing and fighting for necessary staffing levels for our police and fire departments, ensuring prompt and reliable emergency response for all of Bellevue.

• Establishing Emergency Protocols: Christina will establish a detailed emergency protocol and notification system to ensure residents are promptly and effectively informed to minimize harm and disruption during critical events.
